Directed by: Michael Stephenson

What it's about: Documentary about the popularity of TROLL 2

Thoughts Before Viewing: I have been dying to see this movie for months now. My movie today was supposed to be WINNEBAGO MAN, but I left the DVD at my house, so I had to browse the On Demand for something to watch. Just the other day, I was looking online to see when BEST WORST MOVIE was coming out on DVD, so as soon as I saw that this was On Demand, I knew what I was watching. Thank God I left the DVD at home. I was ready to order the movie when I had a great idea, I should re-watch TROLL 2 first. Thankfully, TROLL 2 is on Netflix Watch Instant. I remember watching this movie a lot when I was younger. I didn't watch it because I thought it was a good movie, I just knew this was one of the most bizarre movies I had very seen and I couldn't get enough of it. Even though I had not seen the movie in quite a while (I watched the Rifftrax version earlier this year, but there was drinking involved so I don’t remember a thing about it), I still knew when certain scenes or lines were coming up. This was great because I was watching it with a first time viewer. It allowed me to stop watching the movie and pay attention to her reaction. She could not believe how bad it was.

Thoughts After Viewing: TROLL 2 might be one of, if not the worst movie ever made, but this documentary is great. Seeing how people have embraced this movie over the years is astonishing. In KING OF KONG, we got a wacky main character, Billy Mitchell, that carried the movie into greatness; in this movie, George Hardy shines. He might be playing it up for the camera (something people say about KING OF KONG), but no matter what he is a very entertaining character to follow for 90 minutes. I’ve always thought about going to one of those special TROLL 2 screenings but decided against it at the last minute. Now, after seeing this movie, I will be going for sure.
